Annual Meeting Minutes 

January 15, 2008, Sam Hughes School, 700 N. Wilson

Board Members Present: Leon Bear, Janet Carbajal, Michael Guymon, Kathi McLaughlin, Sylvia Mungaray, John O’Dowd, Larry Roberts, Gail Schuessler, Penny Simms, Frank Soltys, John Wilder.

Guests: Council Member Nina Trasoff, Principal Roseanne Decesari and presenters mentioned below. Approximately 45 homeowners were present.

The Business Meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by President John O’Dowd.

Nomination/election of Board members for 2008: Nominated were Leon Bear, Janet Carbajal, Carolyn Classen, Doug Donahue, Wallis Downer, Michael Guymon, Kathi McLaughlin, Sylvia Mungaray, John O’Dowd, Larry Roberts, Gail Schuessler, Frank Soltys, Ed Stokes and John Wilder. Motion made and seconded accepting the slate. The new Board was voted in by acclamation.

Treasurer Leon Bear's financial report for the year 2007 revealed the following as of 12/31/07:        

Regular shares                                  98.59

            Checking account                       1,100.98

            Savings account                           5,430.48

            Money Market Account           28,626.53

            Total                                        35,256.58

                Earmarked for Water Tower Restoration $32,478.78

Denice Blake and Betty Guardia requested volunteers for homes and hostesses for the next Home Tour.

Ms. Trasoff spoke briefly on issues addressed at the Mayor/Council meeting earlier in the evening.

Tom McQuillen of Lizard Rocks Design spoke re the Casitas on Broadway HUD project (LEED designation).

A presentation "A Sense of Place/The Architecture of Roy Place" by Bob Vint of Vint & Associates

followed the business portion of the meeting;
